Calming and Relaxing Women’s Drawing Workshops (online)
29 September @ 17:00 - 19:00 BST
An event every week that begins at 17:00 on Tuesday, repeating until 29 September, 2020
We believe the best thing to do during this difficult time is to utilise it to learn a new skill. As many of us may not have painting supplies at home, join our workshop facilitator, Fiby, as we enter the simple world of paper and pencil. Let’s explore together what we can create in an hour. As always absolutely no experience is needed – total beginners are welcome and encouraged! We will all be learning a new skill together and will also have a weekly platform to chat and make new connections!
As mentioned, we only require a paper and pencil (occasionally a pen) for these workshops. The image will be shared to all the group members via Zoom so all members can work from the same image. We’ll work on drawing still objects, portraits and scenery. Drawing and painting can be very relaxing and liberating, you’ll be surprised by how you feel when you’re done!
Cardiff Women’s Aid are a specialist agency which works to end violence against women, and support those who have experienced it. These classes are open to all women, but are especially suitable if you have experienced domestic abuse, controlling and coercive behaviour, sexual violence/abuse, sexual harassment or assault, stalking, forced marriage, “honour-based” violence, or any other form of violence against women. You do not need to have used our services before to attend these classes.
If you have any questions, please get in touch.
